Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food preparation and kitchen management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast\-paced environment, ensuring smooth service delivery and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager in overseeing daily restaurant or hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Supervise and motivate team members, including front\-of\-house staff such as servers and baristas, as well as kitchen personnel involved in food production.
- Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring timely delivery of dishes that meet quality standards.
- Support staff training programmes related to food safety, hygiene, and customer service best practices.
- Manage reservations, organise staffing schedules, and oversee service flow during shifts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas of the establishment.
- Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Assist with stock control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the premises.
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in food safety protocols and food production processes.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with restaurant or hotel service procedures including serving standards.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on organisation, communication, and problem\-solving skills.
- Previous experience working in a fast\-paced environment such as a restaurant or barista setting is advantageous.
- A personable attitude with the ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
Pay: £28,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
