We are looking for an Area Lead to join our busy team on the day shift.

Hours are 12\-hour shifts: 6\.00am to 6\.00pm \- 4 days out of 6 Monday to Saturday

Key accountabilities

· Lead a Team responsible for the vacuum packing, and the preparation of the product for pasteurisation and case packing, and the weighing up of ingredients to be used in production.

· Deliver the daily and weekly production plan in line with the core operating and technical procedures of the business

· Collaborate with the Area Production Manager to ensure that the staffing levels are appropriate and the team have the skills and training to meet the needs of the business

· Take accountability for the team and operation of the department

Key responsibilities

· To ensure adherence to all Health and Safety policies adopted by TTC. Liaising with the H\&S Team, to monitor and develop procedures to ensure that the Company has the appropriate focus in place to meet its statutory Health and Safety responsibilities

· To always maintain excellent GMP standards, delivering quality standards required of customers and external audits, for example BRC

· Deliver the daily production plan and support the Production Shift Manager in delivering a shift report which is emailed out to the management team

· To help manage and control set KPI’s, Plan attainment, Yield, Packs per hour, Labour, Giveaway, Downtime and Waste and report reasons when not met

· Weekly stock take of all raw materials used in your areas (film etc.)

· To ensure all spice room procedures are followed and weekly stock take are carried out.

· Proactive day to day problem solving to ensure daily plan is met \- this includes bottleneck management and team management to ensure throughputs maintained at target levels

· Proactively suggest process improvements that can improve throughputs and efficiency

· Ensure that production meets daily order fulfilment needs in a timely and technically sound manner

· To help manage and control the data collection systems and monitoring processes, ensuring that all documentation and communication is processed and delivered to the cross functional departments, as required on a timely and regular basis.

· To motivate, manage, train and develop your team.

· To carry out the HR function of the shift, in dealing with development and staff management, which will involve investigations.

· Ensure staffing levels are optimised and any holiday /sick cover is in place, and skills gaps are addressed.

· Do a daily maintenance walk round of all machines in your area and flag any issues to Engineering Team via QMS request

· Help the Project Team to trial new equipment
