Enhance Healthcare: ARBD Senior

Ardencraig Care Home, located in the heart of Castlemilk on Glasgow’s south side, provides compassionate and professional care for both older adults and younger individuals with complex physical and mental health needs.

Our purpose\-built home features four dedicated care units, Willow, Maple,Cedar and Oak each tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents. We provide specialist care for those living with alcohol\-related brain damage (ARBD), acquired brain injuries (ABI), and a range of neurological and physical health conditions.

At Ardencraig, we believe in promoting independence, dignity, and a strong sense of belonging. residents are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities and social opportunities that enhance daily life, while our caring and experienced team ensure comfort, safety, and respect at every stage of care.

Reports to: Home Manager.

Responsible to: Operations Team.

Job Description

Overview

  • Support individuals with ARBD to maximise independence and recovery

  • Apply structured recovery pathways tailored to cognitive impairment

  • Lead on person\-centered planning and outcomes

Typical responsibilities
  • · Medication Management

  • Oversee and support recovery\-focused care plans

  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams (e.g., health professionals, social workers)

  • Mentor and guide support staff on recovery approaches

  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions where needed

  • Promote independence, daily living skills, and community reintegration

  • Ensure compliance with care standards and internal policies

Skills \& experience
  • · SVQ Level 3

  • Experience in supporting individuals with ARBD, brain injury, or complex needs

  • Strong understanding of recovery models and rehabilitation approaches

  • Leadership or senior support worker experience

  • Good communication, documentation, and risk management skills

Recovery model elements (ARBD)
  • Structured routines

  • Cognitive support strategies

  • Harm reduction and abstinence support (where appropriate)

  • Gradual skill\-building for independent living

  • Long\-term rehabilitation focus

Pay: £15\.00 per hour
