We are a friendly community pharmacy in Acocks Green, Birmingham looking to welcome an Aprrentice Pharmacy Dispenser to our team.

This is an apprenticeship role with full training provided and is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and interested in building a long\-term career in pharmacy and healthcare.

Your role will be primarily based in the pharmacy, supporting the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions. You will also provide occasional delivery driver backup cover during staff holidays or absences.

What You Will Be Doing

In\-Pharmacy Duties (Main Focus)

  • Assisting with the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions

  • Labelling and organising medications accurately

  • Supporting stock control and ordering

  • Providing excellent customer service to patients

  • Maintaining confidentiality and complying with pharmacy and NHS standards

Backup Delivery Driver Cover (Occasional)
  • Delivering prescriptions to patients’ homes, care homes, and healthcare settings. You would be required to use your own appropriately insured vehicle.

  • Collecting prescriptions from local GP surgeries

Training \& Career Development
  • Enrolment on a recognised Pharmacy Dispenser qualification

  • Structured on\-the\-job training and ongoing support

Hours \& Pay
  • 30 hours per week, permanent position

  • Flexible working pattern

  • £8\.50 per hour

  • £1\.00 per mile when covering the delivery driver

  • Uniform provided

Who We Are Looking For

Essential

  • Interest in healthcare and pharmacy work

  • Willingness to study and complete a formal qualification

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Access to an appropriately insured vehicle, to use for deliveries

  • GCSEs or equivalent

  • Good communication skills

  • Knowledge of Acocks Green and surrounding areas

Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Previous pharmacy, healthcare, retail, or delivery experience

Pay: £8\.50 per hour
