K2 Heating \& Cooling Solutions Ltd is a growing HVAC contractor based in Farnworth, Bolton, providing air conditioning, ventilation and mechanical services throughout the UK.

We work across a wide range of sectors including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, retail premises and industrial buildings. As our business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an Apprentice Air Conditioning \& Refrigeration Engineer / Junior engineer to join our team.

This role would suit someone looking to start a career within the HVAC industry, or an existing apprentice/improver who already has some experience and is looking for a new opportunity with a supportive and growing company.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced engineers, learning all aspects of the installation, maintenance and repair of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Duties will include:

• Assisting engineers with air conditioning installations.


• Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.


• Assisting with fault finding and repairs.


• Learning to commission and test HVAC systems.


• Carrying out basic service and maintenance tasks.


• Completing job sheets and supporting project documentation.


• Maintaining high standards of health \& safety and workmanship.


• Representing K2 professionally on customer sites.

We are more interested in attitude and willingness to learn than previous experience. However, applicants with some relevant experience will be at an advantage.

This could include:

• Current or previous apprenticeship experience.


• College studies in refrigeration, air conditioning, engineering or electrical installation.


• Experience as an HVAC mate, labourer or improver.


• Practical experience using hand and power tools.


• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.


• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

• Ongoing training and development.


• Industry\-recognised qualifications.

Pay: £17,000\.00\-£22,000\.00 per year
