Welcome to where energy meets technology! As one of our engineers, you will be at the core of the IT applications powering some of our critical energy and trading processes! Building on your technical experience and your pragmatic mindset, you will be directly involved in shaping and transforming our applications landscape. If you are an experienced IT engineer that likes software development, have a knack for data and business analysis and a passion for developing innovative solutions, we want you!
What you will do:

- Build, extend and maintain our internal data management framework, including its API layer, high\-available and scalable services and the foundational tooling that other engineers across the organisation depend on daily.
- Work closely with cross\-functional teams to understand their needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and translating these into well\-designed, business\-driven solutions.
- Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications, ensuring solutions are cost\-effective, sustainable and built to last.
- Design, develop and maintain robust data integration and ingestion services to ensure seamless, reliable data flow between internal systems, applications and storage layers.
- Define, implement and maintain data models as well as performant, scalable and resilient storage solutions.
- Establish and implement tooling to improve overall data quality and lineage capabilities across the platform.
- Shape, maintain, monitor and manage our applications and system infrastructure and automate associated tasks to test, deploy and monitor them.
- Collaborate with our internal infrastructure team on cloud solutions, with hands\-on involvement in IaaS provisioning and maintenance.
What you bring \& who you are:
- You are a competent developer (5\+ years' experience) with practical knowledge in one or more widely adopted programming languages (Python, C\#, Java or similar). Python will be the main but not the only one software stack you will be using with us.

- You have a working knowledge of database technologies (preferably PostgreSQL).
- You bring practical experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Prefect or similar, ensuring the efficient scheduling and monitoring of data workflows.
- Being a hands\-on problem solver, complex problem analysis and solution\-design thinking are among your core strengths.
- You bring strong communication skills and can adapt to, manage and influence a variety of business \& IT stakeholders.
- You are proficient in English (C1\); Spanish is a plus.
- Valued: Wide experience in IT software development, maintenance, support, infrastructure together with data engineering and data\-oriented applications and solutions.
