Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of domestic appliances. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem\-solving skills, and the ability to lead maintenance activities effectively. The Appliance Engineer will play a vital part in ensuring appliances operate efficiently and safely, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair various appliances, including washing machines, refrigerators, ovens, and air conditioning units.

  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify faults and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Conduct routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend appliance lifespan.

  • Lead maintenance teams during complex repairs or installations, providing guidance and support.

  • Perform equipment repairs with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Assist with construction or installation projects related to appliance setup or upgrades.

  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.

  • Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in appliance repair, maintenance, ideally at a OEM or repair company

  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics accurately.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or guiding team members.

  • Proficiency in equipment repair and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Knowledge of general maintenance practices is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast\-paced environment.

  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, electronics, or technical trades are preferred but not essential.
