Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer
- Pay Rate: £18.16 per hour PAYE
- Location: Manchester City Council, Manchester, M2
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (5 - 6 months)
Day-to-day of the role:
- Apply a harm-centred approach to casework, identifying victims and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour.
- Assess vulnerability and make appropriate referrals for support.
- Collaborate with the police to deliver on-street community safety interventions.
- Issue Community Protection Warnings/Notices and engage positively with perpetrators to promote compliance.
- Accurately record all interventions and promote the work of the team through internal and external communications or events.
- Drive the partnership community safety van to various locations as part of the role.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with professionals, victims, witnesses, and perpetrators.
- Experience in applying anti-social behaviour legislation and understanding its impact on the community.
- Proficient in using various ICT applications to record actions and interventions accurately.
- Ability to work flexibly and willing to work shifts between the hours of 8am – 8pm, Monday to Friday.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
You will be part of a team that is integral to the Community Safety, Compliance and Enforcement Service. The team works closely with multiple agencies including the police, fire service, support services, and other council teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to local problems through integrated neighbourhood management.
Key Role Accountabilities:
- Support the delivery of the Council’s statutory enforcement obligations and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Provide detailed technical advice on anti-social behaviour, compliance, and regulatory processes.
- Ensure effective community and member engagement with clear communication channels.
- Contribute to the management and performance of the team, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
