Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer
- Annual Salary: £28,056 - £34,492
- Location: Northampton
- Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week)
Day-to-day of the role:
- Teach students attending full-time, part-time, and short courses as directed.
- Act as a course tutor, handling the associated organisation, administration, and monitoring of student attendance and performance.
- Undertake placement visits and maintain records of student achievements.
- Counsel students and maintain discipline within the classroom.
- Participate in student recruitment activities, including attending Shows and Careers Conventions.
- Engage in curriculum development to align with changing industry demands and college growth.
- Conduct demonstrations and practical activities with students across all courses.
- Participate in internal verification, auditing, and other quality monitoring processes to ensure excellence in service and attention to all learners.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of resources and commercial activities.
- Promote and adhere to the college’s Safeguarding, Health & Safety Policies, and Procedures.
- Manage student conduct in accordance with college policies and actively promote welfare, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Proven experience in teaching and managing Animal Welfare courses.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
