<p>Fanatics Live is transforming the digital shopping and collector experience through livestream commerce, creator-led content, and interactive fan engagement. The platform enables collectors to discover, purchase, and engage around collectibles in real time through immersive mobile experiences.</p>
<p>Our Android engineering team builds performant, highly interactive mobile experiences that support livestream viewing, live purchasing, chat, notifications, payments, account management, and marketplace functionality for a rapidly growing global audience.</p>

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to help scale the Fanatics Live Android platform and deliver high-quality mobile experiences for collectors around the world.</p>
<p>This engineer will partner closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Platform Engineering teams to develop modern Android applications supporting livestream commerce and real-time engagement experiences.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications and platform components for Fanatics Live</li>
<li>Build scalable, responsive, and resilient mobile experiences supporting livestream shopping and collector engagement</li>
<li>Collaborate with backend engineers and product stakeholders to define and implement APIs and mobile workflows</li>
<li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Kotlin code following Android best practices</li>
<li>Contribute to architectural discussions, technical planning, and mobile platform improvements</li>
<li>Optimize application performance, reliability, accessibility, and user experience</li>
<li>Participate in release management, CI/CD improvements, and operational support</li>
<li>Help improve observability, crash reporting, and mobile quality standards</li>
<li>Conduct code reviews and support mentorship across the engineering team</li>
<li>Stay current with Android ecosystem trends, libraries, and development patterns</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years of professional Android development experience</li>
<li>Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices</li>
<li>Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android architecture components</li>
<li>Familiarity with REST APIs, mobile networking, and asynchronous programming</li>
<li>Experience building scalable consumer-facing mobile applications</li>
<li>Understanding of mobile application performance optimization and testing strategies</li>
<li>Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems</li>
<li>Strong collaboration and communication skills within cross-functional environments</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience supporting livestreaming, marketplace, or e-commerce mobile applications</li>
<li>Familiarity with GraphQL, WebSockets, or real-time communication technologies</li>
<li>Experience with Firebase, analytics, experimentation platforms, and observability tooling</li>
<li>Exposure to mobile security and authentication best practices</li>
<li>Passion for sports, collectibles, creators, or digital communities</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Code-Writing Contribution</strong></p>
<p>This role requires strong hands-on Android development expertise. Engineers at this level are expected to independently deliver production-ready mobile features, contribute to application architecture and technical design discussions, and maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, and user experience consistent with role expectations.</p>
