Android Developer

We're seeking an experienced Android Developer to join a growing technology team delivering innovative solutions within the Defence sector. Must be either SC Cleared or willing to undergo (sole UK Nationality)

This is an opportunity to work on hi tech projects that make a real\-world impact, developing secure, high performance mobile applications in a collaborative Agile environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing and maintaining Android applications using modern development practices.


• Collaborating with cross\-functional teams including software engineers, testers and product stakeholders.


• Contributing to application architecture, performance optimisation and code quality initiatives.


• Supporting the full software development lifecycle from concept through to deployment.

What We're Looking For

• Commercial experience developing Android applications using Kotlin


• Strong understanding of Android SDK, mobile architecture patterns and best practices.


• Experience working within Agile development teams.


• Knowledge of REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines and version control tools such as Git.


• Excellent problem\-solving skills and a passion for delivering high\-quality software.

Desirable

• Experience within Defence, Aerospace or other highly regulated environments


• Experience implementing backend solutions using either Rust, Python, or Go, ensuring robustness and scalability (e.g. writing web APIs)


• Exposure to cloud technologies, DevOps practices or cross\-platform mobile development.
