NXP’s Product Line In\-Vehicle Networking (IVN) is the world’s leading supplier of integrated circuits for in\-vehicle communication, ranging from CAN, LIN, FlexRay, over System Basis Chips (SBC) to Ethernet PHYs and switches. In high\-end vehicles, there are more than 100 transceivers inside the vehicle and thanks to NXP’s market leadership, virtually every car produced in the world is equipped with at least one of NXP’s IVN products.

The location of this vacancy is Nijmegen, the Netherlands.The AMS verification engineer is member of a IC design team consisting of \+/\-10 analog, digital and verification engineers. He reports to the segment R\&D Manager for the CLF business.

The Functional Verification role will involve many aspects of functional verification including AMS verification using most effective methodologies. A strong ability to map requirements into a traceable verification plan is important. A “zero\-defect” mindset is a key enabler.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities encompass the development of verification test bench, development of verification components, test case development for simulation and formal verification methods, debugging failures and creating simulation. Expectations include:

  • Verification planning;

  • Verification test bench development and implementation;

  • Definition of the Verification infrastructure, including, test benches, Verification IP, lab test infrastructure, prototyping (FPGA and/or virtual prototyping).

  • Development of verification test bench components such as drivers, monitors, response checkers as well as use most advanced UVM VIPs;

  • Development of direct and constrained\-random stimulus;

  • Participates in Change Control Board, reviews, inspections, walkthroughs from the Verification perspective

Requirements


  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics

  • Over 5 years work experience on digital verification

  • Solid knowledge of verification methodology and associated tools:

  • Strong skills in debug, failure re\-creation and root cause analysis

  • Familiar with ASIC/SOC design flow from feature identification to test bench development and through final tape out sign\-off.

  • Familiar with verification languages – Verilog, System Verilog and UVM environment.

  • Experience in developing test benches, simulation model creation.

  • General understanding of script programming, such as Perl, Cshell, Tcl, Python, and Makefile.

  • Hands\-on RTL coding and DFT experience is a big plus.

  • Affinity to automotive products and experience with Automotive standards is a clear pre
