Welcome to Halo! We are recruiting Ambulance Care Assistants (ACA) to join our Patient Transport Service from our base in Chester . This role is ideal for healthcare assistants, support workers, care assistants, or anyone with a caring, professional approach looking for a rewarding career in the ambulance service.

You’ll be responsible for supporting patients during non\-emergency patient transport, ensuring every journey is safe, dignified, and compassionate.

• Location: Chester, Cheshire West \& surrounding areas


• Pay rate: £13 per hour


• Hours: Flexible shifts


• Start: Immediate start once compliant

• Assist patients to and from medical appointments


• Provide reassurance and basic patient care during transport


• Safely load and unload patients using appropriate equipment


• Work as part of a professional patient transport crew


• Maintain high standards of patient dignity and safety


• Complete basic documentation as required

We’re looking for reliable, caring individuals who want to work in patient transport services and make a real difference.

Essential:

• Full UK Manual Driving Licence with experience driving ambulances or vans


• First Aid Certificate (or FREC3\)


• Caring and professional attitude


• Good communication skills


• Ability to work flexible shifts across a 7 day rota


• Physically able to assist patients

• Experience as an Ambulance Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker, or Care Assistant


• Previous NHS or private patient transport experience
