Experienced Security \& Fire Alarm Engineer – North West – Salary £DOE – Full Time
JB EYE Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Security \& Fire Alarm Engineer
Goals and Objectives:
- To provide engineering functions from initial installation to commissioning and customer handover and on to ongoing maintenance and testing of systems
- Carry out Installation, Corrective and Preventative Maintenance on Intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control CCTV and other associated electronic fire and security and safety systems in accordance with relevant company procedures, engineer instructions and specific system requirements.
- Provide front line customer assistance as part of the company’s on call rota
- Good basic education and ideally a relevant qualification in the electrical /electronic security industry.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Sound technical knowledge in the following disciplines: Intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV and access control and the applicable standards for these systems
- Field Service Experience
- Experience in IT \& Networking
- Electrical experience
· Installation of CCTV Systems, Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms and Access Control and other associated electronic fire, safety and security systems
· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fire, safety and security systems to ensure proper functionality.
· Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
· Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
· Compliance at all times with Company Policy \& Health and Safety legislation.

Summary
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent
Pay: Negotiable DOE per year, plus on call, plus overtime

Experience: Electronic Fire \& Security Industry (required): 3 or more years (preferrable)
Licence/Certification: Drivers Licence (required)
Work Location: Various (predominantly North West)
This opportunity would be ideally suited to an Engineer who lives within a commutable distance of north Manchester
Duties
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance and testing of installed systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with other engineers.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools correctly and effectively to install, and maintain electronic security, safety and fire detection systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to contract customers, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities.
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction or engineering settings.
- Good mechanical knowledge related to building systems and equipment.
- Strong problem\-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field are preferred but not essential.
