WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THE ROLE
- No two days are the same — from laid\-back food festivals to high\-energy crowd events
- Work across some of Scotland’s most iconic summer events

- Gain hands\-on experience in team management, operations, stock control, customer service, and food prep
- Travel to events (transport provided for non\-local locations)
- Meadows Festival – 6th \& 7th June
- Book Festival – 11th–17th June
- Royal Highland Show – 17th–21st June (Mandatory)
- Haddington Show – 27th June
- Scottish Open – 8th–12th July (Mandatory)
- Edinburgh Festival Fringe – 17th July–31st August(31st July–31st August Mandatory)
As a Team Leader / Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in keeping the operation running smoothly and maintaining the high standards Alanda’s is known for.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and supporting the team throughout each event
- Delegating tasks clearly and effectively
- Opening and closing the kiosk each day
- Ensuring the unit is clean, organised, fully stocked, and running efficiently
- Taking customer orders and handling payments when required
- Overseeing food preparation and service to ensure food goes out quickly and to our high standards
- Managing daily stock control using Excel
- Completing basic daily paperwork and operational checks
- Making sure all prep is completed before service begins
- Troubleshooting issues calmly in a fast\-paced environment
- Creating a positive, energetic, and supportive working atmosphere
- Delivering excellent customer experiences at every event
- Friendly, confident, and reliable individuals
- Natural leaders who can motivate a team and stay organised under pressure
- People who thrive in busy, fast\-paced event environments
- Previous hospitality, catering, or supervisory experience preferred
- Comfortable with basic admin tasks and stock management (including Excel)
- Strong communication and problem\-solving skills
- A hands\-on attitude — happy to jump in wherever needed
