AIRFREIGHT GOODS IN/OUT CLERK / LOGISTICS OPERATIVE

Job Type: Permanent

You MUST be able to provide 5 years references from previous employment/education, also written explanation for any gaps in employment which are over 28 days. Clean DBS check.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a very busy and fast paced environment. You will need to be self\-motivated, have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.

The Individual

· Must have 5 years warehousing airfreight experience

· Must ensure correct security procedures are adhered to.

· Must have a “Can Do Attitude”, be presentable and polite.

· Must be good at listening and assimilating information and be flexible and open minded.

· Must be able to work beyond normal hours and do overtime when and if required.

· Ensure vehicles meet deadlines

· Be able to prioritise

Desirable Skills:

· Cargo Operative Aviation Security or above (We will provide training if required)

· Good IT skills

· Excellent telephone manner

Duties would include, but not limited to:

· liaising with operations team

· Action customer queries by email

· Book in drivers – Establish / Organise airline freight / trunk freight

· Check weigh / dim freight – forward GRNs to respective agents

· Ensuring the operating system is updated in a timely manner

· Printing Airwaybills / Delivery Notes / Manifests and Labels

· Checking and producing manifests for airlines

· Arrange appropriate vehicles for airline deliveries

· Be aware of vehicle maintenance schedules and VOR / allocate accordingly

· Complete Security Certificates and check Known Consignor status

· Book in third party vehicles for deliveries and collections and produce relevant paperwork

· Book in sea freight containers – both collection and delivery

· Reporting to management.

· Liaising with the Operations Department

· Administer Security Protocols as directed by the Security Manager

· Ensure that Health \& Safety Protocols are adhered to

Working Hours:

· Monday – Friday 18:00 \- 03:00

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000\.00 per year
