Join the Appen team as an Independent Contractor for Project Madara.
 
Project Madara is seeking native English speakers for a short, one-time task focused on collecting speech data to improve AI voice and speech recognition systems. In this project, participants will read and record short sentences at different speaking volumes — normal, soft, and whisper — using the Appen Mobile app on their smartphone.
 
Help shape the future of AI-powered speech technology by contributing your voice to build more accurate and natural-sounding systems.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Read and record short sentences in English at varying volume levels (normal, soft, and whisper)


• Complete all recordings within a single session


• Follow project guidelines to ensure recordings meet quality standards

 

Key Requirements:

• Must be a native English speaker residing in United Kingdom


• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Must have a smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app


• Access to a stable internet connection

 

This role is a project-based opportunity with CrowdGen, where you will join the CrowdGen Community as an Independent Contractor. If selected, you will receive an email from CrowdGen regarding the creation of an account using your application email address. You will need to log in to this account and reset the password, complete the setup requirements, and proceed with your application for this project-based role.
