We partner with Investment Management, Asset Management Operations and Distribution teams across Europe and Asia to deliver modern platforms that enable investment professionals to make better investment decisions and improve client outcomes.

The Portfolio Management Tooling team develops and supports the technology ecosystem used by Portfolio Managers, Investment Directors, Quantitative Researchers and Investment Specialists across multiple investment capabilities, including Multi\-Asset, Systematic Investing, Fixed Income and Equities. Our platforms underpin critical investment processes including research, portfolio construction, analytics, order generation, execution management and investment risk.

As Artificial Intelligence continues to transform software engineering, we are investing in modern engineering practices that combine AI\-assisted development with robust engineering disciplines to improve productivity, quality and speed of delivery. The AI Solutions Engineer will play a key role in helping engineering teams adopt AI\-enabled development practices safely, effectively and responsibly across Asset Management Platforms.

About your role

The AI Solutions Engineer is a hands\-on technical leader responsible for accelerating software engineering delivery through the effective adoption of Artificial Intelligence and modern engineering practices.

Working closely with Engineering Leads, Solution Architects, Product Owners and software engineering teams, you will identify opportunities to improve engineering productivity through AI\-assisted development while maintaining Fidelity's high standards for architecture, engineering governance, software quality and security.

You will combine strong software engineering expertise with practical knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI\-powered development tooling to establish best practices for AI\-assisted software engineering. This includes enabling engineering teams to make effective use of technologies such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and other AI coding assistants to improve software design, implementation, testing, documentation and operational support.

The role is equally focused on engineering excellence and innovation. You will champion modern software engineering practices, support architectural decision\-making, promote CI/CD and DevSecOps adoption, and help establish governance frameworks for the responsible use of AI within the software development lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how AI is adopted across Asset Management Platforms, helping engineering teams deliver high\-quality software faster while ensuring solutions remain secure, maintainable and aligned with Fidelity's engineering standards.

Curious
  • Drive continuous prioritisation based on outcomes, data and evidence.

  • Challenge assumptions and encourage innovative thinking.

  • Use delivery metrics and business outcomes to inform decision making.
