Intern Job Description – AI Platform \& Project Support
Location: Bonn

JOIN OUR TEAM IN BONN FOR AN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (40 HOURS PER WEEK) POSITION

STARTING IN JULY OR AUGUST 2026 FOR 6 MONTHS WITH THE OPTION OF EXTENSION FOR ANOTHER 6 MONTHS!

IMPORTANT: You need to be enrolled in a study program during the duration of the internship!

For this position working as a student (20 hours per week) is also a possibility

Join our vibrant team at DHL Global Forwarding, where you'll play a key role in our Infrastructure, Service \& Information team. We are looking for a motivated and detail\-oriented Intern to support AI platform initiatives and related project coordination. The position is based in Bonn and will report directly to the hiring manager. This internship is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain practical experience within a dynamic environment, contributing to the integration and adoption of cutting\-edge AI tools.

Key Responsibilities
------------------------

• Support AI platform enablement and adoption by maintaining visibility of available tools, initiatives, and user access requirements.


• Coordinate community engagement, learning initiatives, and adoption programs to drive effective usage.


• Develop and curate enablement materials (e.g., user guides and knowledge resources) that reflect key cornerstones and best practices for platform use.


• Support governance and compliance activities by tracking ownership/responsibilities and following up on pending topics.


• Provide project and stakeholder coordination support, including communication, follow\-ups, repository/document management, and regular status reporting.

• Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (such as Business Administration, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field).


• Interest in AI and a foundational understanding of key concepts (what AI is, how it works at a high level, and common considerations such as privacy, security, bias, and responsible use).


• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Effective communication abilities and a willingness to learn.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and collaborative tools is an asset.


• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

• Experience working on real\-world projects and AI platform initiatives.


• Direct mentorship and guidance from the hiring manager.
