AI/LLM Engineer

About the Role

A Y Combinator\-backed B2B SaaS startup in the industrial automation space is looking for an AI/LLM Engineer to build end\-to\-end AI systems that power practical, high\-impact features for distributors and manufacturers. You'll work on a fast\-moving team at the intersection of AI, ML, data engineering, and full\-stack development — helping push the product forward and drive meaningful revenue growth.

What You'll Do

• Work across the full stack to build, deploy, and optimize AI agents end\-to\-end


• Work with embeddings and fine\-tune LLMs for classification and reranking tasks


• Optimize algorithms for product search


• Apply RLHF \& DPO to align LLMs with human feedback


• Build data pipelines to process large\-scale unstructured data efficiently


• Contribute to making the backend scalable, stable, and efficient

What We're Looking For

Must\-haves:

• 2\+ years of engineering experience


• Strong hands\-on experience with NLP, LLMs, embeddings, ML, and AI agents


• Experience with full\-stack development using React, TypeScript, and Next.js


• Demonstrated experience building and scaling data \& ML pipelines, including large\-scale unstructured data


• Practical experience applying RLHF and DPO for LLM alignment

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)


• Strong CS fundamentals

Compensation \& Benefits

• Salary range: $90,000 – $200,000 USD annually


• Visa sponsorship available

Location

This is a fully on\-site role based in Munich, Germany. Candidates must be willing to work in\-person in Munich.
