AI Implementation Manager
AI Implementation Manager
About HENDI
At HENDI, we are passionate about developing smart, reliable and innovative tools for professionals in the hospitality industry. As a leading international supplier of kitchen and catering equipment, our mission is clear: to make the work of chefs and foodservice professionals easier, faster and more creative, wherever in the world they work.
To deliver on this ambition, we are also continuously developing the way we use data, technology and digital processes within HENDI. We are building a connected digital environment in which product information, operational data and customer information can flow smoothly between systems. This enables us to make better decisions, collaborate more efficiently and serve our customers better.
We are now looking for an AI Implementation Manager who can turn the possibilities of AI into practical, scalable solutions across our organisation.
What the job is all about
This role is about making AI work in practice.
You will work with teams across HENDI to identify processes where AI can create meaningful value, translate those opportunities into workable solutions and take them from idea to implementation.
That may mean improving how we process incoming customer orders, helping Customer Service find and formulate better answers, supporting Category Managers’ product benchmarking process, supporting Sales with better information, or finding completely new opportunities that we have not yet identified.
You will build and manage our portfolio of AI initiatives and help us distinguish promising use cases from interesting experiments. For the most valuable opportunities, you will determine the right solution approach, build or coordinate prototypes and make sure successful concepts become reliable production solutions.
You will not work in isolation. AI solutions at HENDI will often need to interact with our ERP systems, CRM, PIM, e\-commerce platforms, Snowflake data platform and integration landscape. You will therefore work closely with our business teams, IT colleagues, data and integration specialists and external technology partners.
An important part of the role is understanding where AI should be used — and where conventional software, workflow automation or business rules are the better answer.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and prioritising AI opportunities across HENDI based on business value and feasibility.
- Translating business problems into clear AI use cases, solution concepts and implementation plans.
- Creating prototypes and proofs of concept to quickly validate promising ideas.
- Taking successful concepts beyond the prototype stage and into reliable, maintainable production solutions.
- Designing solutions that combine AI with APIs, workflows, business applications and enterprise data.
- Working with platforms such as Workato, Snowflake and our wider application landscape to integrate AI into operational processes.
- Evaluating AI platforms, models, specialist solutions and technology partners.
- Establishing appropriate controls around accuracy, confidence levels, human review, security and data access.
- Defining measurable success criteria and tracking the actual business benefits of implemented solutions.
- Helping business teams redesign processes where AI changes how work can be organised.
- Supporting AI adoption and building practical AI knowledge throughout the organisation.
- Contributing to HENDI's approach to AI governance, including privacy, security and responsible use of AI.
- The objective is not to maximise the number of AI projects. It is to build a portfolio of solutions that genuinely improve productivity, customer experience, decision\-making or operational performance.
We are looking for someone who combines technology understanding with strong business and implementation skills.
You understand modern AI capabilities well enough to design solutions and challenge technology partners, but you do not see building models from scratch as the default answer. You are comfortable using existing foundation models, AI platforms, APIs and specialist products and combining them with enterprise applications and data.
Most importantly, you have experience getting technology into actual business processes.
This is ideally a full\-time position, but if you are a strong match for the role, a four\-day working week is also open for discussion.
With you, we hope to add to our team:
- Several years of experience implementing digital, automation, AI or data\-driven solutions in a business environment.
- Hands\-on experience with generative AI, large language models and modern AI platforms.
- Experience taking AI or automation solutions beyond demonstrations and into production.
- A strong understanding of APIs, integrations and workflow automation.
- A good understanding of enterprise data and the importance of data quality, master data and access controls.
- The ability to analyse a business process and identify where technology can realistically improve it.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and translating between business requirements and technical solutions.
- A pragmatic approach to experimentation: able to prototype quickly, but equally focused on scalability, maintainability and operational reliability.
- An understanding of topics such as hallucination, retrieval\-augmented generation, confidence thresholds, human\-in\-the\-loop processes and AI monitoring.
- Awareness of privacy, information security and European AI regulation.
- The ability to evaluate vendors and technologies critically rather than simply following the latest AI trend.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across countries, departments and levels of the organisation.
A background as an AI solutions architect, product owner, automation specialist, technology consultant or digital transformation lead could all fit the role. We are less concerned with the exact title you have held and more interested in what you have actually implemented.
We do not expect you to be a machine\-learning researcher. We do expect you to be technically credible, curious and hands\-on enough to understand how things work.
As you will be working together with many disciplines across all HENDI locations, a good command of the English language is vital.
Above all, we are looking for someone who can move comfortably between a discussion about a business process, a conversation about APIs and architecture, and a decision about whether an initiative is worth investing in.
What success looks like
Within this role, success means that AI becomes an increasingly normal part of how HENDI improves its business — not a collection of disconnected experiments.
You will help us build a structured pipeline from opportunity → value assessment → feasibility → prototype → production → adoption → measurable benefit, while creating the foundations that allow us to scale successful solutions across the group.
You make sure AI at HENDI moves beyond ideas and experiments. You get to the heart of business challenges and turn them into solutions that are technically sound, practical to use and genuinely helpful to colleagues.
From AI agents and automated workflows to custom software and system integrations, you help HENDI translate the possibilities of AI into tangible improvements across the organisation.
What do we offer you?
- A competitive salary: A gross annual salary between €60,000 and €80,000, based on full\-time employment (40 hours per week). The exact salary will depend on your experience and background.
- AI with visible business impact: You will work on real challenges within HENDI and see how your solutions make processes smarter, faster and more effective.
- End\-to\-end ownership: You will be involved throughout the full journey, from understanding the business problem and shaping the solution to building, implementing and improving it in practice.
- Freedom to build: You will have significant autonomy to explore different technologies and decide which technical approach best fits the challenge.
- An international scope: You will work with colleagues across different functions and countries, with the opportunity to develop solutions that can be scaled across HENDI.
- 25 days of annual leave based on full\-time employment, plus a solid pension scheme
- Employee discount across our full product range.
- Friday afternoon drinks in our own bar.
- An informal and approachable working environment with open communication and plenty of room for your own ideas.
- Hybrid working flexibility, with the option to work from home one day a week.
