AI Engineer / FDE

We’re building the platform that lets any healthcare clinic operate headless.
We have two jobs:
- Get the patient to open the door of the clinic.
- Get the treatment plan signed.
Our founding team has been applying AI in regulated industries since 2018\. Backed by top investors. Already deploying agents for healthcare groups across Europe.
We’re hiring an AI Engineer / FDE with technical depth and extreme agency. You’ll own customer deployments, technical decisions and production outcomes. The bar: understand the problem, ship the solution, prove it works.
Tasks
---------
- Own customer deployments from discovery and architecture to launch and measurable results.
- Build production AI agents and Python integrations across APIs, booking systems and CRMs.
- Make the hard calls on reliability, data boundaries, retries, evaluations and human handoff.
- Debug across systems, lead incident resolution and keep customers informed.
- Turn recurring customer needs into reusable platform capabilities. Review code and raise the engineering bar.
- Use coding agents to ship faster while owning architecture, verification and production quality.

- Technical depth: you’ve shipped and operated production software. Strong Python, API design, data modelling, testing and debugging across systems.
- Extreme agency: take an unclear customer outcome, make the technical decisions and drive it to completion with minimal direction.
- Applied AI: hands\-on experience building LLM applications or agents, with evaluations, failure handling and observability.
- Product judgment: know what to build, what to simplify and what should become part of the platform.
- Customer ownership: lead technical conversations, explain trade\-offs and stay accountable after launch. Professional English required.
Useful extras: TypeScript/React, cloud infrastructure, voice AI, healthcare integrations, Spanish or Portuguese.
Lisbon\-based or willing to relocate. Visa sponsorship is currently unavailable.
Benefits

- €40,000–€55,000 gross annual base salary, depending on experience.
- Full\-time Portuguese employment contract and meal allowance.
