Job Description

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Aftersales Manager to lead our aftersales department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of mechanics, and a track record of delivering outstanding service. The Aftersales Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aftersales division and maintaining our reputation for excellence. A very important role will be the development of our information\-gathering process, where new modern systems, including processes and procedures, will have to be implemented to bring us to the forefront of our industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead and manage the service department, including technicians, service advisors, and support staff. Manage the technicians, ensuring high\-quality service standards.

· Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of all repairs and maintenance tasks. Communicate schedules and priorities to staff daily/weekly.

· Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices. Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to rapidly reprioritise according to the changing needs of the business.

. Resolve technical issues promptly, escalating where necessary.

· Monitor key performance metrics such as productivity, service turnaround time, and customer satisfaction, and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement.

· Ensure compliance with all environmental, health \& safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

· Foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and staff, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

· Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and parts, to optimise overall company performance and customer experience.

· Manage inventory levels and procurement of parts and supplies to support service operations. Ensure availability and maintenance of parts, consumables, and equipment.

· Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, training, and manufacturer updates to continuously improve service operations.

· Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on departmental performance, goals, and initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience Required

· Experience as an Aftersales or Service Manager in the motor industry where you can cope with a high\-pressure work environment.

· Strong leadership and management skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team through a positive can\-do attitude. Strong verbal and written communication abilities with honest interpersonal skills to inspire a customer\-centric approach to our business.

· Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast\-paced environment.

. A deep understanding of the motor trade and aftersales service operations.

. Practical approach to solving technical issues with strong attention to detail.

. Proficient in planning, prioritising tasks, and using MS Office software.

. Full driving license is essential.

. Certified qualification as a mechanic is desirable but not essential.

· An excellent self\-starter with the ability to own and drive their work independently while also working very effectively with others and utilizing expertise of others well.

· Good analytical skills and very strong attention to detail is essential.

· Excellent drive, enthusiasm and commitment and a keen interest in developing their career.

· Exceptional interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills, and ability to influence and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation.

. Ability to lead by example and provide hands\-on support to the team.
