Aerospace Supply Chain Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement and sourcing activities for aerospace materials, components, and equipment

• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with aerospace quality standards


• Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements for production schedules


• Analyze supply chain risks, shortages, and logistics disruptions


• Maintain supplier performance metrics including cost, quality, and delivery KPIs


• Support contract negotiations and vendor management activities


• Ensure compliance with industry regulations including AS9100, FAA, ITAR, and export controls


• Collaborate with production planning and engineering teams to resolve material issues


• Prepare reports on supply chain performance, inventory accuracy, and procurement costs


• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and optimize operations

Work Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or related field


• 3\+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or defense supply chain operations


• Knowledge of aerospace procurement processes and supplier management


• Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor


• Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities


• Understanding of aerospace regulatory requirements and documentation standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CPSM


• Experience with government contracts or defense programs


• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies


• Knowledge of international shipping and customs regulations
