Busienss Support Officer
- Location: Sheffield centre (2 days in office and 3 wfh)
- Pay: £13.26 per hour (PAYE)
- Job Type: Full-time
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide effective administrative and business support across the service.
- Assist Social Work teams in maintaining and improving service delivery to children and families.
- Handle telephone calls, respond to emails, and manage general enquiries.
- Prepare, print, and post letters and documents.
- Support meetings, including note-taking and recording actions.
- Maintain and update information systems and records.
- Process purchases of goods and services as required.
- Offer information, advice, and support to colleagues and service users.
- Handle mail, messages, and personal callers professionally.
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the service.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with council policies including safeguarding, equality, and health & safety.
- Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive working relationships.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Minimum Level 2 qualification (e.g., GCSEs including Maths & English or equivalent) or equivalent experience
- An enthusiastic, adaptable, and proactive individual.

- Comfortable handling administrative tasks and supporting multiple teams.
