Badsley Primary is a large, popular Local Authority Maintained Primary School in central Rotherham.
We are seeking an organised, approachable, and proactive Administrative Assistant to be the welcoming face of our reception and school office. This is a key role at the heart of our school community, providing excellent front‑of‑house service and day‑to‑day administrative support.
In return, we can promise a school full of amazing children, a genuinely friendly staff team and a well\-resourced environment. The Admin Assistant will be directly responsible to the School Business Manager but will work closely with all school staff, including the Headteacher.
The post is 30 hours per week, term time only. 08:30 to 15:30\.
As the welcoming face of our school, you will manage the front desk, handle daily enquiries, and ensure all visitors receive a professional and positive first impression. You will also support a wide range of administrative and organisational tasks under the guidance of the Headteacher and School Business Manager.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in working within a busy office environment (minimum two years).
- A strong team player who is focused and enthusiastic.
- Will be committed to our school vision and values.
- Confident, professional and caring when dealing with parents, pupils and staff.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent and experienced user of IT, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Knowledgeable in working with Management Information Systems – for examples Arbor (desirable — training provided)
- Ability to interpret and analyse data.
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and follow safeguarding procedures.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- A first\-aid qualification is desirable (training can be provided).
