The hospital was built in 1986 and has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for patients with health insurance, patients who are self\-funding treatment or NHS patients exercising choice through the e\-referral system.
The role:
Fulwood Hall Hospital are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our busy, friendly, forward thinking Booking Department, who are committed to providing a high standard of care to our patients.
Working as a key member of the bookings team, your role will include:\-
- Confirming PMI pre\-authorisation is in place for inpatient procedures; contacting patients and insurers to obtain any missing authorisations
- Reviewing Healthcode for upcoming authorisations
- Making \& receiving telephone calls from patients
- Sending out Fixed Cost Care quotes for procedures where applicable
- Calculating custom Self\-Pay quotations for procedures not covered by Fixed Cost Care pricing when requested by patients or consultants
- Other tasks as required by the Bookings Department
- Previous admin experience and computer literate
- A good general education with GCSE level (or equivalent) qualifications Grades A\-C
- Excellent communication skills, and confidence in interacting with staff, consultants and patients
- Good IT and administration skills
- A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment but independently when required
