A well-established and growing chartered accountancy practice in St Ives is seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Practice Manager and Client Managers. The role will involve a varied mix of practice administration, client support, statutory filings, correspondence and credit control, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their career within a professional accountancy environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Preparing and submitting statutory filings, particularly Companies House Confirmation Statements.
- Drafting professional letters, correspondence and accounting-related documentation.
- Supporting credit control processes, including monitoring outstanding balances and liaising with clients regarding overdue payments.
- Providing reception and telephone cover during periods of annual leave and absence.
- Supporting the Practice Manager with general administration and office management.
- Assisting Client Managers with ad hoc administrative and client-related tasks.
- Maintaining and updating client records and internal databases.
- Managing electronic filing and document management systems.
- Providing wider administrative support to the practice as required.
- Previous experience working within a professional services environment is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Professional and confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Previous experience with Companies House processes and statutory filings would be advantageous.
- Experience drafting professional client correspondence and documentation would be beneficial.
- Previous credit control or client account administration experience would be desirable.
- A positive, proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
