We’re a small and driven team in Supply Chain; this role involves a good mix of administration and excellent communication with suppliers and internal teams. We value finding creative solutions to maintain the supply of goods into the business.
The Role
We’re looking for an Admin Assistant to join our Supply Chain team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment, approaches challenges with a can\-do attitude, and is confident stepping up and taking ownership and making things happen when required.
Previous supply chain experience would be advantageous but is not essential. We’re looking for the right person with the attitude, enthusiasm and ability to learn a new and challenging role, while developing their skills within our business.
As part of our Supply Chain team, you’ll help support the smooth flow of goods into the business. We work with vendors across the UK, Europe and Asia, while liaising closely with internal teams on a daily basis.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business are essential.
What you’ll do
The role involves a range of administrative tasks, including:
\- Placing purchase orders with suppliers.
\- Creating purchase orders for products that are shipped directly from vendors to our customers.
\- Using vendor online portals.
\- Managing the Supply Chain email inbox and responding to queries.
\- Checking order acknowledgements and following up on variations in pricing and availability.
\- Dealing with out\-of\-stock and discontinued products.
\- Responding to stock and order enquiries from other departments.
\- Chasing vendors for outstanding orders and deliveries.
\- Updating purchase order delivery dates.
\- Resolution of delivery discrepancies, such as incorrect, damaged or missing items.
\- Carrying out support activities for the Supply Chain team and general administration including keeping records and information accurate and current.
What You’ll Have
\- A confident and versatile approach to work, along with a can\-do attitude.
\- Excellent attention to detail is required.
\- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
\- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with both vendors and colleagues by phone, email and face\-to\-face.
\- Good numeracy skills, able to work with figures.
\- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word with an interest in developing these skills further.
\- Experience with Microsoft Navision and Akeneo PIM would be useful, although full training will be provided.

Education / Experience
Preferably educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths. We’re looking for someone with strong communication skills, good attention to detail and confidence working with numbers.
Previous administrative experience preferred; supply chain experience would be very useful but it’s not essential – training will be provided.
Spanish language skills are not required for this role, but it would be a useful additional skill when communicating with our wider group. If you speak Spanish, we’d be interested to know.
