NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate \& Property \& Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

The Role

To project manage the development and implementation of projects to ensure the delivery of the acute services modernisation programme within a Clinical Division. This modernisation of services should meet NHS Lanarkshire’s strategic objectives well as operational objectives within the Clinical Division.

The post will work as an integral part of the Clinical Division and will support the Clinical Divisional Steering Group to deliver a number of projects and workstreams within tight timeframes, which taken together will deliver the reconfiguration of services for the Clinical Division across Lanarkshire’s emergency and planned care sites, ensure the stabilisation of specialities, support a redesign methodology, assess demand and plan and deliver of capacity including workforce development, implement interim changes to services, support capital investment and ensure services are designed to meet delivery targets.

In this key role, you will:

  • To support the design and developments of projects to redesign and reconfiguration the acute services provided by the Division

  • To project manage the delivery of major service redesigns and other projects in accordance with robust project management standards

  • To support devising and implement a process for service redesign and reconfiguration for the Division and to ensure the implementation of changes

  • To exhibit drive and work dynamically and flexibly across the Division engaging with all staff to target resources and prioritise activity to ensure key deliverables are implemented
What You'll Bring:
  • Required to hold a first degree or educated to an equivalent level.

  • Proven track record of working in a senior position within the NHS, across multi\-professional groups and levels within an NHS organisation, and across statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

  • Knowledge of Project Management methodology applied within an NHS setting, and training, experience and/or qualification in an appropriate Project Management method, such as Prince2\.

  • Proven track record of being able to work under pressure and using own initiative, and to multi\-task and manage complex projects simultaneously.
A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
