Activities Coordinator (Full\-Time 37\.5hrs per week over 5 days, alternate weekends)

Job Summary
Gainsborough Hall are seeking passionate and dedicated Activity Coordinators to join their team. The successful candidates will deliver a varied programme of engaging activities that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social wellbeing of our residents.
This role requires an understanding of the importance of promoting dignity, independence, choice, privacy, rights, and fulfilment for all residents while creating a positive and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver meaningful activity programmes in consultation with residents, relatives, and the care team
- Encourage participation in creative, social, and cognitive activities including arts and crafts, games, group activities, community engagement, and entertainment
- Provide mental and physical stimulation tailored to residents individual needs and abilities
- Adapt activities and approaches to support residents living with dementia and behaviours that may challenge
- Build and maintain positive links with the local community
- Support fundraising activities and events to help finance outings and entertainment
- Promote and support residents’ religious and cultural needs through visits and organised outings where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and demonstrate basic IT skills
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Remain physically active throughout the day, including standing for extended periods
