The role

We're looking for a qualified Accredited Checking Dispenser (ACD) to join our experienced team. This is a key role in the dispensary — your accuracy checking frees up our pharmacist to focus on clinical service delivery and patient care.

You'll work alongside our pharmacy manager and Independent Prescribing Pharmacist in a busy, forward\-thinking pharmacy that's continually expanding its range of clinical services. If you hold additional qualifications such as phlebotomy or ear microsuction — even better, as these skills support the growing services we offer.

What you'll do

• Accuracy\-check dispensed prescriptions in line with our standard operating procedures using barcode technology for peace of mind


• Help ensure the safe, correct supply of dispensed items to patients


• Support the dispensary team in processing prescription items safely and efficiently


• Support the wider delivery of our clinical services where your skills allow


• Advise patients on over\-the\-counter medicines and healthcare products


• Provide excellent customer service and patient care


• Work as part of a team to achieve our shared business objectives

• Qualified as an Accredited Checking Dispenser (essential)


• Community pharmacy experience


• Additional clinical skills such as phlebotomy or ear microsuction (welcome, or a willingness to train)


• Methodical and accurate, with a high level of concentration


• Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills


• Professional, tactful, and friendly


• Trustworthy, with a clear understanding of patient confidentiality


• Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines


• A positive, can\-do team player


• IT literate


• Fluent in written and spoken English

Pay: £13\.25\-£14\.00 per hour
