JWB Corporate is a modern and growing accountancy practice committed to delivering exceptional service to a diverse portfolio of business clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced qualified accountant, ideally with tax qualifications and practice experience, to manage a portfolio of clients and play a key role in the firm's development.

Initially, this role will be home\-based, offering flexibility and autonomy, with the opportunity to work from our planned office in Portishead as the business continues to grow.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients, providing proactive accounting and tax advice, and building strong long\-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a portfolio of SME and owner\-managed business clients


• Reviewing statutory accounts (with some preparation assistance)


• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns


• Providing personal tax planning and compliance support


• Advising clients on business, tax, and financial matters


• Managing client queries and delivering an excellent client experience


• Supporting junior staff as the team grows


• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services to clients


• Contributing to the ongoing growth and success of the practice

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACA or ACCA accounting qualification


• CTA, ATT, or strong tax experience preferred


• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment


• Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently


• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and taxation


• Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills


• A proactive and commercial approach to client service


• Ability to work independently while maintaining high professional standards


• Knowledge of Xero bookkeeping software
