This Team Leader role will oversee the day\-to\-day management of the Transactional Finance team. This role will ensure operational efficiency, strong control of processes, and delivery against SLAs and KPIs, while supporting the team through business changes including the transition to SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership \& Management
---------------------------------
- Lead and supervise the day\-to\-day activities of the team
- Manage workloads and ensure priorities are effectively balanced
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and appraisals
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members
- Act as the first point of escalation for issues and help resolve challenges quickly
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and high\-performing team culture

- Monitor team performance against SLAs and KPIs and drive improvements where needed
- Ensure effective management of open items across all ledgers
- Oversee timely matching and clearance of Direct Debits (DD) and Faster Payments
- Maintain oversight of BT vendors and associated processes
- Support key operational activities including daily financial close and balance sheet reconciliations

- Work closely with the GL team to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure ledgers are accurate, well\-controlled, and clean
- Support readiness ahead of SAP migration by improving data quality and controls

- Support the Finance Manager in leading the team through SAP implementation
- Help embed new processes and ways of working
- Encourage team engagement and understanding throughout the transition

- Support reporting and analysis requirements as needed
- Provide insight to help improve team performance and financial processes
Essential
-------------
- Strong background in transactional finance
- Experience supervising or managing a team
- Good understanding of reconciliations, controls, and ledger management
- Ability to manage workload, deadlines, and competing priorities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

- Experience with SAP (preferred but not essential)
- Experience supporting system or process change
- Positive, proactive, and solution\-oriented
- Strong people manager with the ability to handle difficult situations and
