Accounts Payable Manager
- Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
- Job Type: Full-time
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Manage financial risks within the Purchase Ledger and Subcontract Ledger.
- Lead the month-end and year-end Accounts Payable processes.
- Ensure high-volume invoice processing is completed accurately and on time.
- Develop, report, and monitor Accounts Payable KPIs, SLAs, and management information.
- Plan and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
- Manage team workload, capacity, and performance, including absence management.
- Ensure compliance with Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) processes and manage monthly HMRC returns.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and address non-compliance, recommending solutions and improvements.
- Deliver effective onboarding and ongoing training for team members.
- Proven experience managing or supervising an Accounts Payable team.
- Strong knowledge of Purchase Ledger processes and financial controls.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confidence using financial systems and Excel.
- AAT or AP-specific qualification (e.g., CAPP, APA).
- Experience within the construction or property services sectors.
