As an Accounts and Business Advisory Services Manager, you will lead client account preparation, manage teams, ensure compliance with standards, and meeting deadlines.
You will handle complex financial matters, maintain client relationships, and provide advisory services. Your role ensures high-quality service delivery and contributes to team and practice growth.
Technical Skills:
- Hold year end accounts discussion/meeting with client and ability to cross sell where relevant
- Can provide meaning full interpretation of working capital ratios such as debtor days
- Gather relevant information including detailed understanding of client working capital cycle to prepare 3 way cashflow forecast for projection purposes
- Identify basic consolidation adjustments
- Able to prepare consolidated accounts
- Is able to explain when prior period adjustments are required and identify appropriate course of action
- Can review set of projections including cashflow report and apply client knowledge to identify anomalies
- Can prepare and document supporting assumptions rationale relating to projections and cashflows
- Understand VAT partial exemption/reverse charge entries and ensure these have been posted correctly
- Demonstrates ability to draw commercial interpretation from accounts results
- Can make suggestions on group loss relief for review
- Is able to consider a range of options with respect to remuneration planning and provide advice for review.
- Is able to respond to client queries relating to role with minimal input from others
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of clients’ business, objectives, challenges and risks sufficient to brief more junior colleagues on assignment and direct work accordingly
- Demonstrates a broad understanding of client/customer market and environment and understands the importance of driving new business
- Manage flexible working of self and assistants based around client needs and business deadlines
- Reviews WIP on a monthly basis to ensure that fees are raised for any work that is completed or at a billable stage and that any doubtful time that may not be recovered is adequately provided, by updating CCH with the required provision
- Gain experience of winning new work through input into the preparation of proposals, fee quotes and attending client tenders.
- Starting salary £50,000 to £60,000
