Accounts Assistant

  • Location: Slough 8am – 5pm (office based)

  • Job Type: Perm

  • Salary: £30000-£35000

A leading supplier of energy and lighting solutions for the film, television, broadcast, and events industries. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a company that is committed to sustainable solutions and offers a generous benefits package.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

  • Raise and process customer invoices.

  • Manage aged debt queries and undertake credit control activities.

  • Review open jobs and ensure financial records are up to date.

  • Process BACS payments and issue remittances.

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations.

  • Set up new supplier and customer accounts.

  • Assist with month-end finance tasks as required.

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.

  • Undertake other ad hoc duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 1–2 years' experience in a finance or accounts role.

  • Able to start within a few weeks

  • Good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Good communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers and suppliers.

  • Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience using accounting software would be advantageous.
