Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Location: Cannock

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000

Top of the salary range will be offered to a candidate with varied experience across Transactional accounts, payroll and supporting with some month end tasks.

We are currently recruiting for an absolutely lovely Reed client based in Cannock, they are situated in an unbelievable location with stunning offices. We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure smooth running of financial processes and be responsible for bank recs, payroll and some month end duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced candidate to make a positive impact from day one and be truly valued in their role!

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Process payroll across group entities, including RTI PAYE for weekly and monthly payroll, statutory payments and pension auto-enrolment – training on this can be provided but some experience in payroll would be ideal.

  • Prepare and process inter-company recharges and reconcile inter-company balances at month-end.

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple group companies.

  • Assist with month-end close procedures including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Ideally, You Will:
  • Have completed at least AAT Level 2 and 3.

  • Be a positive and friendly individual, we are looking for a great team fit and an individual that will stay with the company for years to come!

  • Have the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload.

  • Exposure to end-to-end payroll would be ideal, training can be provided.
