Orka Financial is currently partnering with an exciting business based in Slough who are looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team on a temporary basis.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes to ensure correct approvals
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly supplier payment runs (BACS/CHAPS)
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
- Allocate incoming receipts to customer accounts and maintain accurate records
- Investigate and resolve customer queries relating to invoices and payments
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
- Identify and investigate discrepancies in bank transactions.
- Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong excel skills.
