About the Role
As a Finance Assistant, you will provide valuable support across a wide range of finance processes, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department. Working closely with the wider finance team, you will gain exposure to key accounting functions, assist with month-end activities and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records. The role offers genuine opportunities for progression as the business continues to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data entry and processing of financial transactions.
- Support month-end accounting tasks and reporting processes.
- Respond to and resolve internal finance-related queries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with invoicing and purchase order administration.
- Support Accounts Payable processes as required.
- Assist with management accounting activities and reporting.
- Provide cover and support across other finance functions when needed.
- Assist with ad hoc finance projects and duties as directed by the Financial Controller or Head of Finance.
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the finance department and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ideally a recent graduate, preferably within a finance, accounting or related discipline.
- Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment would be advantageous.
- Ambition to study towards a professional accounting qualification.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
