£25,000–£30,000 | Full-Time | Hybrid Available After Probation | Leicester Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a long-term opportunity within a growing and professional organisation?
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to join a supportive finance team in Leicester. Originally created to support maternity cover requirements, this role has now become a permanent opportunity due to continued business growth and increasing demands within the finance function.

What You’ll Get • Salary: £25,000 – £30,000 depending on experience
- Full-time permanent position
- Monday to Thursday 9:00am–5:00pm, Friday 8:30am–4:30pm
- Hybrid working available after successful completion of probation (2 days from home)

You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and wider finance team while gaining valuable experience across multiple areas of the finance function.
Responsibilities Include:Transaction Processing • Processing sales and purchase invoices in Sage
- Managing supplier payments and fee collections
- Posting daily client account transactions
- Performing bank, sales ledger and purchase ledger reconciliations
- Handling petty cash and banking cheques
- Maintaining accurate records within Sage and Excel
- Supporting client money movements in line with compliance requirements
- Processing PAYE activities
- Supporting payroll year-end procedures
- Preparing accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Reconciling commission statements and fixed assets
- Completing intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting audits and finance-related projects
- AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively within a team
- More than 5 years’ experience in a similar role
