Accounts Assistant
Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a growing and well-established business based in Salford to recruit an Accounts Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some existing finance experience who is looking to broaden their exposure within a supportive and fast-paced finance team.
The role will support the day-to-day running of the finance function across both Purchase and Sales Ledger, whilst also assisting with reconciliations, expenses and month-end duties. The business offers a great working environment alongside genuine opportunities for development and progression.
Location: Salford
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 + Benefits
Main duties:
- Process supplier invoices and support the day-to-day running of Purchase Ledger
- Assist with Sales Ledger duties including invoicing, allocations and chasing outstanding payments
- Complete bank reconciliations and support with month-end processes
- Manage supplier and customer queries, ensuring timely resolution
- Assist with employee expenses and company card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure finance systems are kept up to date
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties and reporting requirements
- Assist with process improvements and identifying efficiencies within finance operations
- initial experience within an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident using Excel and finance systems
- Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop
- AAT studies or interest in studying would be advantageous
