Accounts Administrator/Data Analyst
We are seeking an Accounts Administrator \& Data Analyst to provide maternity cover within our finance team. In addition to core accounting and administration duties, the successful candidate will analyse operational and logistics data, producing meaningful insights that support financial reporting, business performance, and operational decision\-making. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both the Finance and Operations teams to improve efficiency and support continuous business improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing monthly and bi\-monthly tax returns. Ensure tax compliance with Revenue
- Completing payroll requirements on a weekly and monthly basis
- Responding to financial inquiries – both internal and external
- Weekly and monthly customer invoicing
- Month end reconciliations (debtors, creditors, bank accounts, intercompany accounts, etc.)
- Overview of debtors and creditors to ensure all are within agreed credit limits
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets and/or databases to record, monitor and compile information
- Conducting internal audits
- Assisting in the audit compliance and internal control responsibilities
- Managing the delivery of monthly financial statements to strict deadlines
- Support the preparation of management reports by combining financial and operational (logistics/transport ) insights.
- Assist in analysing transport, warehousing, and distribution costs to identify cost\-saving opportunities.
- Ad hoc duties as required
Ø Someone with accounting experience is essential.
Ø At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
Ø Experience with insurance and payroll would be an advantage
Ø Someone who has experience with Revenue and keeps Revenue and the law in mind when making decisions
Ø Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.
Ø Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be an advantage.
Ø Experience analysing operational or logistics data alongside financial information is desirable.
