Accounting Technician

Finance Assistant / Finance Technician Location: Knowsley, Liverpool
Salary: £30-£35,000
Type: Full-time, Permanent, hybrid working

The Opportunity An established and growing organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Finance Technician to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of core finance processes while supporting wider business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Finance Manager with - • Month-end processes


• Cashflow forecasting


• Annual budgeting


• Assist with external audits


• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable


• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting


• Carry out credit control activities and maintain strong customer relationships


• Perform bank reconciliations and oversee petty cash


• Reconcile stock ledger with the general ledger


• Produce and manage VAT returns, Intrastat, EC sales reports, and excise duties


• Maintain accruals and prepayments


• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules


• Review and process monthly expenses

About You • AAT qualified (or equivalent)

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar finance role


• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
