Job Description:
Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for managing the day\-to\-day finance and accounting operations, including entering journals, managing accounts receivable and payable, using financial technology systems, and other select finance\-related administration. The Accounting Supervisor ensures timely reconciliation and reporting of all financial statements and prepares financial analyses for the Regional Finance Manger \& Group Finance Director as requested; and maintains fiscal records. You will serve as the primary contact for internal staff on invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts and revenue.
You have experience in full\-cycle accounting for a Luxemburg entity in accordance with LUX GAAP standards. You will supervise \& mentor a junior accountant and play a key role in managing and optimizing financial processes.
Responsibilities \& Duties:
1\.Manage \& oversee the accounting for Eastnets Luxemburg.
2\.Undertake aspects of financial management processes; Customer accounting (AR), Vendor Management (AP), Cash Management, Tax regulatory, Budget and financial reporting, as well as implementation of internal control and compliance with Finance policies and procedures, Accounting and Financial Standards (LUX GAAP) and regulators requirements.
3\. Act as a supervisor of the junior accountant.
4\. Administer and maintain the vendor relationship.
5\. Perform the vendor Management process; purchase request, authorizations, three quotations, negotiations and contracts/LPOs with vendors.
6\. Verify and Maintain the Vendor account record, name, codes, contacts, payment terms and due dates, VAT registration number, etc…
7\. Review and verify the vendor Contracts/ Invoices (invoice date, ID, amounts, currency, Vat no. and Vat rate, bank details, etc…) and post accounts payable Journal entries in the Financial System (Purchase and Financial Modules).
8\. Perform payments due activities to ensure the payment is made in due dates without any delay or invoice duplication.
9\. Verify and post the approved expenses invoices (invoice date, ID, amounts, currency, Vat no. and rate, bank details. etc…) in the Financial Module (utilities, rent payments, travel agent, etc…).
10\. Perform the month\-end reconciliation AR, AP, Sub Modules with GL, Banks Accounts Financial Accounts, etc... to ensure the correctness and completeness of financial transactions.
11\. Ensure credit card are recorded properly.
12\. Prepare the monthly and annual VAT returns.
13\. Review and verify the monthly payroll and post payroll Journal entries in the Financial System.
14\. Perform the month\-end closing and year\-end closing process to ensure Correctness of financial data and readiness of financial reporting statements.
15\. Perform the Bank transactions on the Bank management module.
16\. Assist in the preparation of the annual Financial Report (consolidation process) and accompanying schedules for the annual audit.
17\. Prepare audit files for end\-year closing and assist with activities and requirements of external auditors.
18\.Communicate regularly with the Regional Finance Manager.
19\.Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce monthly financial reports or statements requested by Regional Financial Manager and Group Finance Director.
20\.Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
21\.Analyze revenue \& expenditure variance
22\.Participate in companywide initiatives.
23\. Provide recommendations.
24\. Meet financial accounting objectives.
