<h2>The role:</h2>
We are seeking an Accounting Lead to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and manage the team’s workload. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established accounting policies and processes.
You will act as the primary operational lead for the accounting team, escalating issues as needed and partnering closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to support month-end close and continuous improvement initiatives.

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<h4>Team Supervision & Daily Execution</h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Supervise daily activities of the accounting team, including task allocation and deadline tracking.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Review work prepared by team members (journal entries, reconciliations, support schedules).</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure consistent quality and development. </li>
</ul>
<h4>Accounting Operations</h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with established accounting policies.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Review balance sheet account reconciliations and follow up on open items.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely in the ERP. </li>
</ul>
<h4>Month-End Close Support</h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Coordinate and execute assigned close activities following the close calendar.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and escalates risks or delays early.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support variance analysis and reporting prepared for management review. </li>
</ul>
<h4>Process Adherence, Improvements & Compliance</h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ensure compliance with defined accounting processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Assist with preparing and reviewing deliverables for external audits.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Proactively challenge existing approaches and set higher standards for execution and results</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Identify operational inefficiencies and propose improvements to the Senior Accounting Manager.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support implementation of approved process or system changes. </li>
</ul>
<h4>Cross-Functional Coordination</h4>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Act as the first point of contact for operational questions from AP, AR, and other teams.</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Escalate complex accounting issues or judgment-based decisions to the Senior Accounting Manager. </li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">4–6 years of accounting experience with strong exposure to US GAAP</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Hands-on experience applying US GAAP in day-to-day accounting operations (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and close activities)</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">1+ year of experience supervising or leading junior accounting staff</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Solid understanding of core US GAAP principles, including accrual accounting, revenue and expense recognition, and balance sheet integrity</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and strong Excel skills</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Strong attention to detail and ability to execute within established accounting policies and close timelines</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to identify issues and escalate accounting judgment matters appropriately</li>
<li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment</li>
