Responsibilities:
Your role as a Accounting Associate will involve:* Manage the daily faculty payment process.
- Record accounting transactions (invoices, payments, transfers, etc.).
- Handle tax\-related procedures: tax residency, withholdings, compliance.
- Verify documentation required for payment processing.
- Register and update professor personal and banking data
- Reconcile academic planning and teaching schedules.
- Provide support to professors via email, phone, and in person.
- Coordinate with Academic Planning, IT and Vice Dean of Faculty.
- Process national and international remittances and wire transfers.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in billing and payments.
- Ensure all processes comply with legal and internal regulations.
- Support budget planning and reconciliation.
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Accounting.
- At least 1\-3 years of experience in similar roles, ideally in academic or international environments.
- Solid knowledge of accounting and taxation applicable to professional services.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written). (C1 level valued).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 valued).
- Experience and willingness to learn and apply AI\-driven tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc) in administrative and accounting processes.
