This is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Widnes, serving a diverse portfolio of clients across the North West and beyond. With a strong reputation for supporting owner-managed and family businesses, as well as private clients, the team continues to grow and now seeks an experienced Accountant to join their expanding practice.

Your new role
As an experienced Accountant, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of limited companies, including complex entities and group structures. This is a technically engaging role offering a broad spread of work, where you will:

• Prepare statutory accounts for a range of limited companies, including more complex assignments


• Produce consolidated accounts for group structures


• Manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and maintaining the firm's high standards of service


• Support partners with technical queries and bespoke client needs


• Review work completed by junior team members, offering guidance and development


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience with strong practice experience


• Proven ability to produce accounts for limited companies, including complex and group structures


• Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail


• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset


• Ability to manage a busy portfolio and work independently when required
