Account Manager
Account Manager
Manchester or London · Full\-time · Hybrid
Hi, we're Powdr!
We're a fintech platform on a mission to make financial modelling something businesses can actually understand and use, not dread. Our tools turn complex forecasting into investment\-grade P\&L, balance sheet, and cash flow models that anyone can build, whether they've got a finance background or not. In short, we help businesses tell their story to investors with numbers they can trust.
Right now is a genuinely exciting time to join. We've got new projects in motion, the platform is growing fast, and we're a small, close\-knit team that actually likes working together (and yes, we're big on a good company event). When we hire, we're not filling a seat. We're adding someone to the room.
The role
We're looking for a proactive, people\-first Account Manager to own our client relationships and help our accounts grow. You'll be the friendly, reliable face our clients come to, the person who keeps things running smoothly, spots opportunities to add value, and makes sure every client feels genuinely looked after.
It's a brilliant role for someone who loves building relationships, enjoys the buzz of a fast\-moving business, and wants to be hands\-on as we scale. No two weeks will look quite the same.
What you'll be doing
- Building real, lasting relationships with our clients, getting to know their goals and helping them get the most out of Powdr.
- Being the go\-to contact for your accounts: clear communication, quick problem\-solving, and proactive check\-ins.
- Growing accounts by spotting upselling opportunities and matching what we do to what each client needs.
- Working closely with our internal team to make sure everything we deliver lands smoothly and on time.
- Running follow\-ups, demos, and presentations that show clients exactly what the platform can do for them.
- Keeping our CRM and pipelines tidy and up to date, so nothing slips through the cracks.
- Sharing what you're hearing from clients to help shape where the product and business go next.
- 3–4 years' experience in B2B account management, sales, or customer success, and a real enjoyment of working with people.
- Strong relationship\-building skills with a commercial eye for growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Confidence with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Brilliant organisation and the ability to juggle multiple accounts without losing the thread.
- A proactive, can\-do attitude and the kind of energy that fits a small, ambitious team.
- Familiarity with financial modelling or SaaS is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker; we'll teach you the rest.
- A small, supportive team where your voice actually counts.
- New projects and real momentum, so plenty to get stuck into.
- Regular company events and socials (we work hard, but we have fun doing it).
- The chance to grow with us as we scale.
