Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
Overview
A growing manufacturing business is looking to add an Account Coordinator to their team due to continued expansion.
This is a client-facing role focused on managing customer accounts, processing orders, and supporting the wider sales function. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers while being involved in the operational side of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Account Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer accounts
- Manage incoming enquiries via phone and email
- Build strong relationships with clients and understand their requirements
- Identify opportunities to upsell products/services where appropriate
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Liaise with production, purchasing and distribution teams
- Track orders through to delivery and provide updates to customers
- Resolve any order or delivery issues quickly and effectively
- Support external account managers in managing key accounts
- Communicate with customers’ purchasing teams
- Assist with quotations and product enquiries
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
- Maintain accurate customer and order records
- Work with internal systems to manage data and workflow
- Help improve processes and contribute to team efficiency
Essential:
- Previous experience in customer service, account management, or sales support
- Strong communication skills (phone and email)
- Experience processing orders or coordinating work internally
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident dealing with customers and building relationships
- Experience within manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments
- Comfortable speaking with procurement/purchasing teams
- Experience using CRM or ERP systems
- A proactive and positive attitude
- Confidence when dealing with customers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
